Lead Java Developer, FX Engineering

We are looking to hire a highly skilled hands‑on Java engineer to help design, build, and operate large‑scale trading platforms for FX trading and related services. Low latency experience is required.

• Closely work with architects and other team members to develop and build complex applications that meet the needs of FX engineering.
• Design, develop and support trading venue.
• Ongoing support and development of cloud services, building cloud‑aware applications.
• Develop automated processes to prevent, identify, and fix problems that impact service availability.
• Identify and deliver improvements across areas such as cost savings, security, ease of use and reliability.

• Strong Java programming skills and experience writing clean code.
• Data structures and algorithms.
• Expertise in concurrency and performance optimization.
• Deep understanding of system architecture and memory management.
• Proficiency in profiling tools.
• Experience with specialised libraries and frameworks for low‑latency applications.
• Knowledge of network protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP) and techniques for optimizing network communication.
• Proven track record of delivering goals.
• Knowledge and experience of modern agile development methodologies.
• Exposure to Dev Ops practices and automation of testing, delivery and infrastructure changes.
• Self‑motivated, able to work globally distributed, managing priorities.
• Proven ability to investigate complex issues across multiple technologies and drive to completion.

LSEG is committed to offering competitive compensation. The anticipated base salary for this position is $143,200 – $238,800. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/“bonus plan”). LSEG Benefits include:
