Lead Java Developer, FX Engineering

We are looking to hire a highly skilled hands‑on Java engineer to help design, build, and operate large‑scale trading platforms for FX trading and related services. Low latency experience is required.
Responsibilities- Closely work with architects and other team members to develop and build complex applications that meet the needs of FX engineering.
- Design, develop and support trading venue.
- Ongoing support and development of cloud services, building cloud‑aware applications.
- Develop automated processes to prevent, identify, and fix problems that impact service availability.
- Identify and deliver improvements across areas such as cost savings, security, ease of use and reliability.
- Strong Java programming skills and experience writing clean code.
- Data structures and algorithms.
- Expertise in concurrency and performance optimization.
- Deep understanding of system architecture and memory management.
- Proficiency in profiling tools.
- Experience with specialised libraries and frameworks for low‑latency applications.
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP) and techniques for optimizing network communication.
- Proven track record of delivering goals.
- Knowledge and experience of modern agile development methodologies.
- Exposure to Dev Ops practices and automation of testing, delivery and infrastructure changes.
- Self‑motivated, able to work globally distributed, managing priorities.
- Proven ability to investigate complex issues across multiple technologies and drive to completion.
- Experience in cloud technologies.
- Experience with SQL and No
SQL. - Strong passion for technology, willingness to learn new skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
LSEG is committed to offering competitive compensation. The anticipated base salary for this position is $143,200 – $238,800. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/“bonus plan”). LSEG Benefits include:
