We are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to play a key role in shaping the developer experience at Squarespace through impactful documentation projects. As a member of our collaborative Engineering Technical Writing team, you will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to improve our developer experience.

• Collaborate with software engineers and leaders to gather information and define documentation requirements.
• Create clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical content, including API documentation and developer guides.
• Coach teams on documentation workflows and technical writing best practices.
• Identify and implement improvements to our documentation practices and developer experience.

• Establish strong working relationships with engineers and leaders across Research and Development.
• Lead 2-3 documentation projects, contribute content, and identify future deliverables.
• Develop your career development plan with your manager.

• 7+ years of experience as a technical writer creating documentation for a developer audience.
• Proven experience in delivering complex documentation projects on a large scale.
• Exceptional English writing and communication skills.
• Experience working alongside software engineers using similar tools and development methodologies, including docs as code.
• A passion for learning new technical concepts and software products quickly.
• The ability to translate complex ideas into logical steps for the intended audience.
• Experience working effectively with remote and distributed teams.
