We are supporting a buy‑side investment firm seeking a Senior .NET Developer to work on production‑critical trading and order management systems. This role is hands‑on and deeply technical, focused on low‑latency backend services that support real‑time trading, treasury, and post‑trade workflows.
The ideal candidate has spent years inside hedge fund, asset management, or trading environments, working directly with OMS, trade lifecycle systems, and business‑critical financial platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain low‑latency backend services using C# / .NET
- Build and support systems across the trade lifecycle, including order capture, allocations, reconciliation, and downstream processing
- Work closely with trading, treasury, operations, accounting, or compliance stakeholders
- Own and enhance production trading platforms with a focus on performance, reliability, and correctness
- Participate in modernization or refactoring of legacy trading systems while supporting live production workflows
- Contribute to system design decisions in a high‑expectation, delivery‑focused environment
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands‑on expertise with C# / .NET and object‑oriented design
- Trading systems
- Order Management Systems (OMS)
- Treasury or post‑trade platforms
- Buy‑side or Tier‑1 sell‑side exposure within hedge funds or asset managers
- Experience in at least one of the following business domains:
- Treasury (margin, financing costs, optimization, locates)
- Operations (post‑trade reconciliation, affirmations, breaks, allocations, disputes)
- Accounting
- Compliance
- Strong SQL and data‑handling experience in production environments
- Comfortable working onsite and collaborating closely with business users
- Experience with OMS platforms (Charles River OMS strongly preferred)
- Exposure to FIX or real‑time trading flows
- Experience with reference data / security master systems
- Frontend exposure using Blazor and/or Dev Express
- Excel integration for front‑office workflows (VBA, EPPlus, etc.)
- Experience modernizing or maintaining hybrid stacks (legacy + newer tech)
