Overall Purpose

The Senior Software Engineer in Test (SDET) performs test strategy, test design, test planning and automation of various test frameworks and tools. The role is responsible for delivering quality and performance of large‑scale API, web, and mobile application interfaces and focuses on continuous integration and delivery for our products.

Essential Functions
  • Implement an automated test structure in the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Contribute to the development of automated component, system integration, regression, backward compatibility, and performance tests through continuous integration.
  • Execute automated and manual test suites and ensure overall system quality prior to production release.
  • Report defects and issues to development teams and manage defects through to successful resolution.
  • Create software test artifacts including test strategy, test plans, test cases, and test summary reports.
  • Seek opportunities to improve, optimize, and simplify existing testing processes and methodologies.
  • Work with relevant teams to improve product quality.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and support to quality engineering team members.
  • Support risk management and protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience developing software or test automation frameworks using Java, Ruby, Node.js, or Objective

    C.
  • Experience with software development and monitoring tools (Git Lab, GIT, Eclipse/Android Studio/X‑Code, Bamboo, Harness, Splunk, App Dynamics).
  • Experience with CI/CD and integrating automated testing.
  • Experience implementing test automation frameworks for API, web, or mobile platforms using Appium, Selenium, Web driver, Rest‑Assured API, and

    C.
  • AWS or cloud experience.
  • Kubernetes knowledge.
  • Background and drug screen required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional related education and/or experience.
  • Mobile programming (Android or iOS/Swift) experience.
  • Experience with device cloud providers:
    Browser Stack, Perfecto Mobile, Device Anywhere, Amazon Device Farm.
  • Experience building and executing automated and performance tests for REST and XML/SOAP/JSON based services.
  • Experience testing system/server level software, networking and protocols: HTTP, SIP, Rest Services.
  • Knowledge of performance/load testing.
  • Agile/Lean methodology experience.
Physical Requirements

Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 15 pounds occasionally. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment.

Compensation

Base pay ranges:
Phoenix, AZ/Chicago, IL: $116,000 – $145,000 per year;
New York, NY/San Francisco, CA: $139,000 – $174,000 per year. Additional discretionary incentive plan and benefits available.
