We're assisting a well-funded startup in the healthtech space with their search for a founding frontend engineer. Their AI platform enables doctors to launch fully compliant, chat‑based digital clinics quickly. This role will work onsite in the Brooklyn office.

What you'll do:

Own the mobile experience end-to-end in Expo (iOS, Android, and PWA).

You’ll be expected to be able to contribute to the react web apps.

Craft polished, accessible UI components and animations that feel “consumer‑grade” yet meet HIPAA standards.

Build real‑time chat, push notifications, secure file upload, and offline support.

Collaborate closely with clinician‑founders, product, and backend to ship features weekly.

Help to build the first ever mobile-native EHR (electronic health record) that allows doctors to run a medical clinic from their phone.

Instrument analytics and A/B tests to optimize patient onboarding and subscription conversion.

Establish frontend CI/CD, E2E testing, and a design‑system culture for a lean team.

What you’ll bring:

4+ years of experience working on mobile and web apps in React Native and Type Script
Past work that demonstrates exceptional taste and craftsmanship - ideally a strong portfolio of mobile and web apps
Expert in building apps with React Native (Expo bare & managed), React on the web and Type Script.

Nice to haves:

Experience shipping secure applications in regulated environments (health, finance, gov) or eagerness to learn HIPAA nuances.
Work in a PNPM monorepo, sharing types and components between web and mobile apps
Work with real-time chat of voice applications
Skilled with natural-feeling animations (Reanimated/Framer Motion) have a keen eye for design best practices.
