Company Overview

A mission-driven, seed-stage B2B2C company in the healthcare technology space is transforming how self-insured employers connect members to advanced primary care. Their platform enables employers to cut healthcare costs by up to 15% while improving outcomes for high-risk populations.

The company has:

  • National network of high-performing providers
  • Turnkey platform for value-based contracting
  • Strong early customer base
  • $8M in funding and extended financial runway
  • ~15 team members
  • Culture built on servant leadership, accountability, and work–life balance
Role Summary

As the first full-stack engineering hire, the Technical Lead will define and execute the technical vision for the core product — a member-facing web application that intelligently recommends best-fit primary care providers across geographies.

This role involves:

  • Leading system architecture and design reviews
  • Building claims and member data pipelines
  • Developing multi-tenant, data-driven web applications
  • Creating tools to track outcomes and report contracting performance
  • Growing and mentoring the engineering team over time
  • Partnering with executives to influence overall company strategy
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Proficiency in building web-based, multi-tenant, data-driven applications
  • Strong data engineering skills
  • Comfortable with front-end frameworks (current MVP uses WeWeb.io; future plans to expand to a custom-built stack)
  • Track record of technical leadership in a startup or high-growth environment
  • Ability to balance speed, scalability, and maintainability in early-stage product builds
Culture & Work Style
  • Hybrid work: 2–3 days/week in NYC office
  • Servant leadership approach with clear goals and accountability
  • Focus on results and sustainable pace — occasional weekend work possible, but self-care and family time valued
  • Collaborative, mission-focused environment
Benefits
  • Health insurance
  • 401(k) plan
