We’re hiring a backend-focused Software Engineer to join a core trading execution team responsible for one of the most performance-critical systems in the business. This role sits at the heart of a global trading platform, building the services that connect directly to exchanges and liquidity providers.

If you enjoy working close to the system, optimizing for latency and throughput, and solving real engineering problems at scale, this role will suit you!

Responsibilities

• Designing and building low-latency trading execution services in Golang
• Developing high-throughput connectivity to exchanges and liquidity providers
• Working with REST, Web Sockets (FIX experience a strong plus)
• Optimizing concurrency, performance, and system reliability
• Improving monitoring, alerting, and observability for critical services
• Collaborating with senior engineers on distributed system architecture

Requirements

• 1-3 years of backend or systems engineering experience
• Strong experience in Golang and/or C++ on Linux
• Proven exposure to performance-critical or low-latency systems
• Solid understanding of concurrent programming
• Experience working with real-time APIs
• Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication

Nice to have

• FIX protocol experience
• Trading, exchange connectivity, or financial infrastructure exposure
• Crypto or DeFi experience (interest matters more than background)
• Kafka, NATS, gRPC
• Docker, Kubernetes, or similar orchestration tools

This role is based in New York or Chicago, US with a lucrative salary paying up to $140,00 USD annually.
