Senior Software Engineer (C#) – Tier 1 Systematic Hedge Fund – Excellent Compensation + Benefits

Location: New York, NY

We are looking for a strong C# developer to join our compliance engineering team in New York. The role focuses on building and supporting systems that underpin core trading compliance functions across the firm, including Limit Management, Trade Surveillance, Regulatory Horizon Scanning, and Registered Entity Compliance.

• Design, build, and maintain server‑side applications using .NET and C# with a strong focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Lead vendor software installation, setup, and in‑house integration, connecting third‑party compliance platforms with internal systems.
• Develop and support systems covering limit management, trade surveillance, regulatory monitoring, and registered entity compliance.
• Apply sound software architecture principles and engineering best practices to evolving compliance platforms.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or ArgoCD to support reliable and efficient releases.
• Work closely with Compliance stakeholders to gather requirements and translate complex business workflows into well‑designed technical solutions.
• Engage directly with users to iterate on solutions, improving usability, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and cross‑team knowledge sharing within a collaborative engineering culture.

• Strong experience designing and developing server‑side applications using .NET and C#.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, computer science fundamentals, and CI/CD practices.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, ArgoCD).
• Knowledge of or strong interest in Trading Compliance, including areas such as liquidity risk, collateral management, or post‑trade operations.
• User‑focused mindset with the ability to collaborate closely with business stakeholders.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to deliver scalable, high‑performance solutions in complex environments.
• Curious, adaptable, and motivated to continuously learn in a fast‑paced financial setting.
