Goldman Sachs invites applications for the Senior Software Engineer, Transaction Banking, TxB Engineering role.

Our engineers build scalable software, low‑latency infrastructure, guard against cyber threats, and leverage machine learning to turn data into action.

Lead the design and implementation of critical components, focus on code quality, automation, and testability. Work front‑to‑back as a Lead Engineer, collaborate with product owners, designers, and business clients.

• Develop full‑stack applications with security and SDLC considerations.
• Collaborate with product managers, business operations, and engineers to define product requirements.
• Participate in system design consulting and platform management.
• Build resilient, scalable, and secure modules using cloud‑native services.
• Prioritize multiple tasks and use sound judgment.
• Maintain documentation for team processes, best practices, and software runbooks.

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience with a modern programming language.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams delivering complex products.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software design.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, multi‑direction environment.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Passion for technology and engineering.

• Experience in Financial Services or Fin Tech.
• Experience with AWS.
• Experience with microservice architectures.
• Experience with distributed systems design.
• Experience with SQL databases (Postgre
  
  SQL/Oracle) and No
  
  SQL (Dynamo/Mongo
  
  DB).
• Comfort with Agile operating models.

Base salary: $125,000 – $250,000 (New York – required).
