Front Desk Security Counselors provide support services to clients living with Serious Mental Illness and in various stages of recovery. Front Desk Security Counselor’s duties include reception, security, crisis intervention and documenting events occurring in the building. Performs work in accordance with Office of Mental Health regulations for Licensed Housing as well as CCCS and BOH Policies and Procedures.

Beacon of Hope (BOH), a Division of Catholic Charities Community Services (CCCS), is seeking a Front Desk Security Counselor on 12 AM – 8 AM shift to work in a 24-hour congregate permanent housing setting in the Bronx.

• Provide support services to clients living with Serious Mental Illness in various stages of recovery.
• Perform reception and security duties.
• Conduct crisis intervention when needed.
• Document events occurring in the building in accordance with published policies and procedures.

Shift: 12 AM – 8 AM

Salary: $20.50 to $22.00 per hour ($42,640 - $45,760 annually, prorated on time actually worked during the year). Salary is commensurate with educational attainment.
