Pay Range: $32.96 - $35.71 per hour (est. $60,000 - $65,000 per year)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Status: Full-time (35 hour per week)
Role SummaryThe Case Manager Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in supporting the Director of Social Services by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Social Services Department within a transitional housing program. This position is responsible for supervising a team of case managers, ensuring high-quality, client-centered services, maintaining regulatory compliance, and contributing to continuous program improvement.

The Case Manager Supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Ensure strict adherence to organizational policies and procedures, with particular emphasis on conflict resolution and de-escalation practices.
- Collaborate with the Director of Social Services in reviewing and approving employee timesheets and time-off requests.
- Actively participate in the development and refinement of departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures; provide recommendations for ongoing improvement.
- Lead a team of Case Managers in developing comprehensive service plans, independent living plans, discharge plans, and follow-up care coordination programs.
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, supervision, professional development, and performance evaluation of social services staff, ensuring proficient execution of routine tasks.
- Establish and manage staff schedules and work assignments to ensure adequate coverage and optimal service delivery within the social services department.
- Provide direct crisis intervention and emergency response services when required.
- Ensure Case Managers deliver all required and appropriate services, including housing placement, employment support, therapeutic referrals, and other wraparound services.
- Assist in the orientation and ongoing training of new employees, with an emphasis on cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and best practices in homeless services.
- Maintain accurate and timely supervisory case notes, referrals, service plans, and all required documentation.
- Facilitate regular communication and coordination with other shelter supervisors and program leadership regarding social services issue and client needs.
- Coordinate services to ensure the facility operates safely, comfortably, and in full compliance with DHS, OTDA, and all other applicable regulations and contract requirements.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports as required.
- Consult with other agencies and individuals regarding resident records, rights, and responsibilities.
- Ensure Chart Compliance with OTDA and DHS standards, including conducting regular chart audits.
- Work closely with Housing Specialists and employment services staff to assess client readiness for permanent housing and employment.
- Organize and facilitate community outreach, client workshops, and resource related activities.
- Serve as a liaison and organizational representative in community meetings and partnerships as needed.
- Ability to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, and bend over.
- Ability to lift, reach, and handle objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
- Ability to travel to different locations within New York City, as needed.
