The Fair Futures Coach is a full-time position that provides support and resources to help youth who have had experiences with the justice system, make progress towards their academic, career development, housing/independent living, and other life goals. The Fair Futures Coach will report directly to Fair Futures Coach Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Provides ongoing social and emotional support by building trusting relationship with up to 18 youth, continuously assess for safety, address crises, to ensure the overall well-being of youth.
  • Provides one-on-one and group facilitation to develop life skills training, college preparation, and leadership training for youth.
  • Responsible for engaging youth in goal setting as it relates to academic, career, and housing.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders in the community to connect youth to resources.
  • Work to prepare youth as they transition out of FC by assisting with supportive services in the community and connect youth to best-fit opportunities.
  • Work with discharged youth up to 26 years old.
  • Participate in group, individual coaching, trainings, and all staff meetings to strengthen professional development, skill growth, and group cohesion.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation of session progress and collateral notes in CONNXs and Care4 database systems.
