Location: Dutchess County, NY (Onsite)

Employment Type: Full Time Tue-Fri 08:00 AM-03:00 PM (School-Based), Mon 08:00 AM-03:30 PM (Office Day), Up to 2 Remote Days Per Month

Compensation: $64,126 per year

Job Overview

We are seeking a School-Based Social Worker (MSW) to support elementary school students in Dutchess County, NY. This full-time role is ideal for clinicians who want a predictable school schedule, manageable caseloads, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through prevention, early intervention, and counseling services. The position offers strong clinical supervision, training toward licensure, and long-term professional growth in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide substance abuse and violence prevention and intervention services
  • Conduct screenings, assessments, intakes, and referrals
  • Deliver individual and small group counseling using evidence-based approaches
  • Facilitate classroom-based educational sessions
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Lead parent and faculty workshops
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and clinical teams
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Population Served
  • Elementary school students (K‑8)
  • Presenting concerns: social anxiety, academic challenges, emotional regulation, early mental health concerns, experimentation with alcohol or substances
Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field

Preferred:

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, or school-based/community mental health
  • Interest in prevention-focused, school-based work
