Project Assistant Self-Advocacy Training

Must be a NYF DD service recipient.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing, coordinating, and implementing trainings for DSp's and other DD Division staff as required by the agency, OPWDD, and program requests.
  • Meet department productivity expectations as established by senior management.
  • Prepare and conduct trainings for DD Division staff.
  • Participate in orientation training for new DD Division staff.
  • Arrange and help set up training spaces and materials.
  • Suggest and facilitate trainings offered by outside vendors.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary: $17.22/hour

Qualifications

Must be a NYF DD service recipient.

Knowledge of child welfare and developmental disabilities is preferred.

Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques.

Strong written communication skills.

Obtaining relevant training certifications based on agency needs.

Education

High School diploma or GED required.
