Description OverviewResponsible for the maintenance/troubleshooting/repair/install/upgrade to all of Perrigo’s utility systems across all 3 buildings (ex: HVAC, Boiler, Chillers, Electrical Panels, dust collectors, control panels, power wires, signal wires, pumps, HMI controls, heat trace, micro motions, pumps, water systems, water treatment system, PET/Glycol systems, sprinklers, doors, heat exchangers, plumbing systems etc). The job will also include giving water to manufacturing, and general housekeeping responsibilities (ex: roof cleaning, replacing batteries, replacing ceilings, bathroom clogs, painting, wall patching, general carpentry etc).
This is a Union Position - Pay Range: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Scope of the Role- Responsible for operations and troubleshooting of Perrigo’s facilities systems in compliance with applicable codes, all state requirements and Perrigo SOPs. 30%
- Performs utility systems rebuilding/install, upgrade and preventative maintenance. 30%
- Completes general work orders and interfaces with other technicians across all shifts in a team environment. 30%
- Performs special projects and other related duties specific to the department as assigned. 10%
- High school diploma, General Education Development (GED) or equivalency.
- Must have Q01 (Certificate of Qualification for Refrigerating System Operating Engineer).
- Demonstrated cooperative work conduct and the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required. Five plus years of solid work experience in a variety of maintenance skills including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc. Or Three (3) years as a Perrigo Set Up Tech plus at least two years of completed education in a related program from an accredited university/college.
- Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) background desirable.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Suite and experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP are required with the ability to navigate through computer-based training systems desirable.
- Ability to read and work from Blueprints.
- Demonstrated commitment to meeting schedules and deadlines through good attendance and willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays are also necessary.
- Works from ladders, man lifts, and requires ability to continuously lift 20 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. frequently.
- Must be able to stand on concrete floors for 8 hours up to 12 hours.
- Must be able to push or pull up to 400 pounds utilizing a manual cart.
