** Job Summary
** Under general supervision, inspects and repairs all HVAC and refrigeration equipment in the power plant. Performs renairs on HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Performs related duties as required.

** Essential Functions
*** Performs inspection, maintenance and repair of all HVAC and refrigeration equipment in facility. Inspects, tests, determines and performs the necessary repairs of HVAC refrigeration systems or equipment throughout the plant.
Assignments are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with Medical Center standards.
* Installs or replaces thermometers, pumps, air ducts and air conditioning units. Fabricates various metal parts to repair equipment working from blueprints or sketches. replaces and repairs steam and air conditioning coils, motors, valves, gaskets. Performs welding, brazing, soldering of equipment including bearings, coils and cooper tubing. Lubricates motors and compressors. Documents repairs and parts used. May prepare written requests for repairs.

Maintains clean work area.
Assignments are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with Medical Center standards.
* Inspects and operates refrigerating machinery to determine that all are functioning properly. Reads thermometers and gauges and records readings. Adjusts valves on pipelines to regulate flow of refrigerant and suction valves to increase or decrease amount of refrigerant to maintain desired degree of compression.

* Performs related duties as required (e.g. assisting in fire, flood and snow emergencies)   Services are provided in emergency situations on a reliable and timely basis.  
** Qualifications
* ** High School or equivalent and completion of a trade apprenticeship program Required
* 4-6 years Required
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
* OHS Annual Assessment Required
* OHS Fit Test Required
