HVAC Technician

Mico Cooling Corp is a woman-owned, HVAC/R contractor affiliated with Local 638 serving the NYC area since 1983. Our team is currently seeking detail-oriented HVAC Technicians to install, maintain and repair commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. We are looking for mid-level techs with general maintenance experience.

HVAC Technician responsibilities:

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Properly complete all necessary written and electronic records for each job
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with OSHA.
• Troubleshooting, maintenance and repair
• Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.

HVAC Technician requirements:

• 2-3 years independent field experience
• Technical Trade School & High school diploma / GED
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Certifications - EPA, Fire Guard, Torch Use, OSHA
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Honest and dependable
• Mechanically inclined
• Proficient in reading work plans
• Ability to occasionally work after hours, weekends, overtime and emergency holidays
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned company vehicle

Job Type:Full-time Pay: $62,000 + based on experience, full union benefits

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Occasional after-hours on-call rotation
