Maintenance Technician - St. James Manor Apts

Monroe Group is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team!

Under the supervision and direction of the Community Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring the overall physical aspects of the community meet the established standards for safety, appearance, and operation within the budgeted financial goal, including the interior and exterior of the building, all other areas related to the day‑to‑day function, and activity of the residence. The role oversees outside contracts and vendors and includes the responsibilities listed below.

• Perform general maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structure.
• Conduct property and unit inspections.
• Maintain property curb appeal and overall cleanliness.
• Schedule and keep the Make‑Ready Board up to date.
• Purchase materials and manage the budget.
• Ensure maintenance teams deliver safe, decent, and sanitary housing to all residents.

• Previous experience in Apartment/multi‑family maintenance.
• English language proficiency (read, speak, and write).
• Ability to pass a full background check.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of maintenance technician experience including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair knowledge.
• Experience in an affordable housing environment preferred.
• Technical training and license preferred.
