Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a reliable individual for a full-time position as a Diesel Mechanic located at our state of the art shop in Wilton, NY.

• Perform a variety of tasks that may include lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, stretching, walking, climbing, and bending under potentially adverse field conditions, and performing visual tasks such as back-up spotting and reacting to back-up alarms in accordance with safety protocol.
• Knowledge of fuel injection systems, diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, suspension, transmission, and brakes.
• Be willing to work overtime, occasional Saturday day shifts, and be on call as required.
• Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to take and follow orders in an independent or group setting.
• Adherence to Safety Rules and Regulations.

• Minimum of five years' experience or a trade school degree in diesel, trucking, heavy equipment mechanics/technology.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have own tools.
• Must pass a pre-hire drug screen (Drug Free Employer).
• Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to report to work on time.
• Crane inspection license or the desire to obtain.

Base salary range:
Diesel Mechanic $33,600-$87,500. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as knowledge and skills.
