Appliance Service Technician (Westchester, NY)

• Diagnose and complete in‑home repairs on GE Appliances’ major appliances
• Use sound judgment to recommend repair versus replacement, prioritizing cost‑effective solutions
• Promote and sell service contracts, water filters, and related products, focusing on value and customer experience
• Operate assigned Bodewell service van to customer locations
• Accurately document repairs, routes, and work activities
• Participate in training sessions, meetings, and events to maintain industry expertise
• Manage inventory and maintenance of the service vehicle
• Deliver high‑quality service and maintain strong customer satisfaction
• Follow all safety protocols to protect yourself and others

• HS Diploma or GED
• 1+ year of experience with appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenance
• Ability to diagnose and repair major appliances
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Basic computer aptitude, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams
• Flexible schedule with occasional Saturdays
• Valid state driver’s license and successful completion of background check, physical, and drug screen
• Willingness to obtain CFC certification within six months
• Wear uniform and maintain grooming standards consistent with GE appliances
• Self‑directed and solid team player
• Ability to deescalate situations and rebuild customer confidence
• Physical abilities: step in/out of van, sit extended periods, handle parts that may be hot, cold, wet, use powered hand tools, lift at least 77 lbs, push/pull 70 lbs

• 6+ months of refrigeration repair experience
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
• CFC Certified
• Certification in appliance repair or associate’s degree
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
