• Hourly Pay: $29.00 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus:
  Ryder pays you up to $500 every quarter
• Sign-On Bonus: $2,500
• Schedule:
  
  Monday - Tuesday and Thursday - Saturday
• Hours:
  
  Second shift Monday - Tuesday and Thursday - Friday 2:45 pm – 11:30 pm;
  Saturday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

We are seeking the right Maintenance/Repair Mechanic to join Ryder to work on heavy-duty vehicles.

Location:

66 Liberty St., Camden, NY 13316.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Vocational or technical certification/post-secondary degree (preferred)
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work)
• Two years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience (preferred)
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire; pass Ryder drug test; pass a DOT physical; pass a Ryder road test; pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check (including drug/alcohol verification for last 3 years)

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer.

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Conduct standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment
• Identify root causes of failures and perform repairs
• Replace defective components as instructed
• Perform facility maintenance duties as needed
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue
• Use shop management system and electronic documentation
• Comply with safety, DOT, MOT and related guidelines
• Provide support duties as required to aid operations
