- Hourly Pay: $29.00 per hour
- Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus:
Ryder pays you up to $500 every quarter - Sign-On Bonus: $2,500
- Schedule:
Monday - Tuesday and Thursday - Saturday - Hours:
Second shift Monday - Tuesday and Thursday - Friday 2:45 pm – 11:30 pm;
Saturday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm - Annual merit pay increases; paid on-the-job training; medical, dental, vision, 401(k) benefits; maternity leave; paid time off from day one; 401(k) company match; PPE, uniforms, and boot allowance

We are seeking the right Maintenance/Repair Mechanic to join Ryder to work on heavy-duty vehicles.
Location:
66 Liberty St., Camden, NY 13316.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Vocational or technical certification/post-secondary degree (preferred)
- Basic tools required
- Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work)
- Two years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience (preferred)
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)
- Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire; pass Ryder drug test; pass a DOT physical; pass a Ryder road test; pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check (including drug/alcohol verification for last 3 years)
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer.
Responsibilities- Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
- Conduct standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment
- Identify root causes of failures and perform repairs
- Replace defective components as instructed
- Perform facility maintenance duties as needed
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue
- Use shop management system and electronic documentation
- Comply with safety, DOT, MOT and related guidelines
- Provide support duties as required to aid operations
