Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and service hospital paging systems, including head-end equipment, amplifiers, speakers, controllers, and associated low-voltage cabling.
- Support paging systems integrated with AV, emergency communication, and other facility systems within healthcare environments.
- Perform on-site service calls at hospitals and medical facilities across NYC, NJ, and Long Island.
- Troubleshoot and support AV systems, including audio components, displays, signal distribution, and control interfaces.
- Identify wiring issues, equipment failures, configuration problems, and system-level faults.
- Interpret system drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer documentation to resolve issues efficiently.
- Support service and troubleshooting of additional low-voltage systems as needed, including:
- Structured cabling (copper and fiber)
- Security systems (access control and surveillance infrastructure)
- Test, verify, and document system functionality following service or repair.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with hospital staff, facilities teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and service reports.
- Proven experience troubleshooting paging systems, preferably in hospital or healthcare environments.
- Strong understanding of low-voltage systems, signal flow, and cabling best practices.
- Experience supporting AV systems in commercial or institutional settings.
- Ability to work in active healthcare environments, following safety and access protocols.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly to job sites throughout NYC, New Jersey, and Long Island.
- Experience with hospital paging or emergency communication platforms preferred
- Valid SST (Site Safety Training) card — physical card required
- A clear photo of the SST card uploaded with your resume
Salary: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
