Salary Range $32.00 To $44.00 Hourly
Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) 118 Wyandanch Ave., Wyandanch, NY
Hiring a Service Technician / Mechanic to assist with the service and upfit of Utility Trucks and Equipment including Boom / Bucket Trucks, Roll-Offs / Refuse, Tree Trimming / Forestry and more. Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with overtime as needed.
Truck Chassis PM’s, Service, Repair;
Chassis Prep, Attaching, Bolting, Welding, Hydraulics, Wiring (electrical);
Hydraulics, reading blueprints, cylinders, hoses, PTOs etc.;
Electrical Wiring, schematics, multimeter, CANbus etc.
Must hold a valid driver’s license and mechanics tools. CTOS offers pay based on experience, healthcare, 401K match, Vacation, Sick and paid Holidays.
Duties
- Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged / worn parts on a variety of vocational / utility trucks & equipment.
- Provide repair and maintenance to medium / heavy duty trucks, and background in hydraulics and electrical.
- Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs so vehicles can be properly priced and reflect the value of quality offered by the company.
- Submit all work/repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs accurately reflected.
- Perform all duties in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment.
- Attend monthly safety meetings held by Custom Truck One Source.
- Other Duties As Required.
Minimum Education Required
- High School/GED
- Technician
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
- Basic Skills:
High school diploma or the equivalent - Experience with diesel, medium or heavy truck, or related equipment (construction, farm, military)
- General mechanical aptitude / knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, construction, farm, or truck
- Basic Computer skills and ability to document repair activity.
Preferred Skills
- Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training a plus
- 3 plus years maintenance and repair of Utility Trucks and Equipment.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Must have your own tools.
