Window Installer

Skyline Windows is a fourth-generation family owned and operated business. We are best known for designing, manufacturing, and installing custom windows, window wall systems, and terrace doors. All of our products are made to order based on our clients’ project specifications. From landmarks to new construction, high end residential to high volume commercial, we do it all!

• They will work with a partner installing and removing windows
• Demonstrated experience installing window wall, “receptors”, retrofit jobs, and replacement jobs.
• Ensure that company tools and vehicles are kept in good working order
• Safety - perform all duties in a safe manner and be alert to any unsafe working conditions
• Load and unload materials from truck onto work site
• Install locks and metal arms on window frames.
• Effectively collaborate with co-workers to achieve desired results
• Use of hand tools (hammer, pry bar, chisel pinch bar, hack saw, lump hammer, etc and other rip out tools)
• Complete trimming of panning
• Caulking, siliconing frames, capping, etc.
• Glazing windows
• Cutting of capping, angles, tubes, panels and other extrusions
• Assist in leveling and shimming
• Other duties as assigned
• Responsible for cleanup inside and outside of each job location

• Must be familiar with commercial windows (Double hung, casement, sliders, tilt and turn and terrace doors) and their hardware systems.
• Must be able to set up material and plan for next day job to ensure success.
• Must be able to work in a collaborative manner with multiple crews.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and customer service oriented.
• Must possess valid OSHA safety training cards.

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• Prior experience with glass and aluminum windows.
• Construction experience required.
• Ability to read shop drawings a plus.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Experience with all types of installation.

Represented by Local Union 522. Benefits provided per union contract.

• Ability to Lift, pull, push & carry up to 75 lbs, multiple times daily.
• Ability to stand on a consistent basis for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend and squat on a consistent basis daily.
• Ability to walk stairs and ramps multiple times on a daily basis.
• Ability to work on an open construction site which may include high elevation.
• Ability to use door shop and wood working tools/ machinery.
