Based in New York, Saks Metering provides advanced meter installation services and technology solutions for municipalities, national sporting venues, large metropolitan transit systems, water districts and residential properties in the Northeast United States. Since 2005, our clients have benefited from over 500,000 successful AMI meter installations with an industry-leading 95% completion rate. We strive to exceed expectations and deliver the highest level of water meter installation, replacement, repair and implementation services in the industry.

We are growing and looking for skilled Meter Technicians to install new residential and commercial meters and record meter readings. • Install new residential and commercial meters, fittings and gaskets
• Record old and new meter readings
• Install wiring from the meter register inside the building/home to the module mounted outside the building
• Verify proper installation/transmission of new meter data
• Manage daily client communications, data and reporting
• Maintain necessary inspection reports and notices
• Provide for excellence in internal and external customer service
• Create a positive experience for customers through professional and courteous behavior while producing high quality results
• Are paid well for their skill and professionalism
• Should be willing to travel throughout the United States
• Photo documentation capture:
  Working with customer service and IT to document initial site conditions to the finished product
• Provide valuable information such as date and time work was done, conditions upon arrival, out reading, new meter setting and finished product with reading
• Note that the conditions the setting was made in are in as good or better condition than upon arrival

• OSHA 10 Hour certified
• Light plumbing skills
• Proficiency with hand tools
• Computer/data entry skills (tech savvy – we use tablets to capture job data)
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team while adhering to strict timelines
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Rate: $61.16 per hour (Prevailing Wage)
