The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects ranging from small tenant improvements to large-scale commercial, industrial, and mission-critical facilities. This role collaborates closely with project management, engineering, and operations teams to ensure bids are complete, compliant, and aligned with company profitability goals.

• Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates from drawings, specifications, and scope documents
• Perform material takeoffs for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage, and specialty systems
• Analyze labor productivity, crew compositions, and project schedules
• Solicit, evaluate, and level vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Identify scope gaps, constructability issues, and value engineering opportunities
• Develop clarifications, inclusions, exclusions, and alternates for proposals
• Support preconstruction meetings and handoff to project management teams
• Track historical cost data and maintain estimating databases
• Assist with change order pricing when required
• Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and project specifications

• Commercial office, retail, healthcare, education, and mixed-use
• Industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, and warehouses
• Data centers and mission-critical infrastructure
• Renovations, tenant improvements, and ground-up construction

• 5+ years of experience estimating electrical construction projects
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods
• Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid, Trimble, Con Est, or similar)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience working with GCs, owners, and design teams

• Journeyman or Master Electrician background
• Design-build or negotiated work experience
• Knowledge of BIM coordination and prefabrication strategies
• Data center or industrial power experience (medium/high voltage, switch gear, generators, UPS)
