Role OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter / General Construction professional on a full-time, on-site basis. This role involves general construction work across residential and commercial spaces, as well as carpentry and millwork for built-in furniture. With a strong focus on finish carpentry, installation, and hands‑on construction tasks, the ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across both finish carpentry and general construction tasks.
Responsibilities- Perform general construction work across residential and commercial projects
- Install sheetrock, including layout, hanging, and finishing
- Execute framing work for walls, partitions, and built elements
- Install molding, trim, and architectural finishes
- Install doors, door hardware, and windows
- Build custom built-in furniture from scratch, including fabrication, assembly, and installation
- Assist with cabinetry installation, alignment, and detailing
- Support carpentry and millwork tasks related to custom interiors
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Collaborate closely with the on-site team to meet project timelines and quality standards
- Light understanding of electrical systems
- Furniture millwork or fine woodworking experience
- Proven experience in finish carpentry and general construction
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working full-time on-site in Manhattan
