Refrigeration Mechanic Q01 or C0Q Certificate Brooklyn

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Refrigeration Mechanic - Brooklyn. In this role, the successful candidate has working knowledge of all trades: electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting and HVAC. Must be able to read manufacturers assembly sketches and drawings and simple blueprints.

• Have some knowledge of basis electricity and be able to apply
• Minor repairs in San‑I‑Pak, compressors pumps fans etc.
• General understanding and knowledge of boilers including repairs
• Capable to do water testing and chemical treatment
• Capable to read simple blue prints diagrams schematics, etc.
• Capable to do minor plumbing repairs
• Follow proper procedures for lock out/tag out
• Proper usage of hand and power tools
• Perform minor construction and demolition cleaning painting etc.
• Able to make repair on HVAC equipment (thermostat, mixing boxes etc.)
• Perform repairs on doors and window hardware
• Perform repair in portable items (beds cribs stretcher etc.)

• High School Diploma Required.
• Five years experience.
• Trade or vocational school graduation shall reduce the above requirement to four years.
• The following certifications are required, and must be obtained within 60 days of hire: EPA Section 608 Certification, Certificate of Fitness F60, Certificate of Fitness G60
• Q‑01 Certificate of Qualification (COQ).

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
