Position

Summary

Live Well Group (LWG) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain the buildings and common areas in excellent condition while delivering a superior resident experience. This is a hands‑on role that requires performing electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of proven maintenance experience, a practical mindset, attention to detail, and superior communication skills. This role requires working both independently and collaboratively, observing all health and safety guidelines, and ensuring timely completion of work orders to enhance resident satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect buildings and mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Assist with setup, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
  • Maintain plumbing and heating systems to ensure proper functionality.
  • Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and coordinate repairs.
  • Conduct manual repairs (locks, windows, minor carpentry).
  • Utilize smartphone applications (Outlook, App Folio, Rippling, Zulty’s) for work order management.
  • Complete assigned work orders efficiently to provide superior resident experience.
  • Assist Lead Maintenance Technicians with preventative maintenance, apartment turnovers, and reporting personnel or equipment issues.
  • Proactively identify issues requiring attention and communicate to supervisor.
  • Maintain professionalism and effective communication with residents, contractors, suppliers, and team members.
  • Participate in rotating on-call schedule and snow removal operations as needed.
Skills and Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and general maintenance processes.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and common appliances.
  • Manual dexterity and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work safely on ladders.
  • Reliable transportation for commuting and on‑site duties.
  • OSHA certification and/or HVAC/building maintenance certifications a plus.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) designation desired.
