Upway is a fast growing startup building the largest marketplace for refurbished e-bikes globally. We are looking for a Bike Mechanic for our Upway New York warehouse. The mechanic team repairs a large number of different used e-bikes and refurbishes them to excellent condition, providing Upway’s customers with high-quality and vast e-bike selection.

As a Mechanic, you will carry out the entire repair process of an e-bike and ensure that the bikes are delivered in excellent quality. You will work with your teammates in a well-equipped warehouse in New York City dealing with e-bikes only. Due to the large selection of different e-bikes (speed bikes, mountain bikes, city bikes, cargo bikes; heavily used to almost new), the job remains varied and highly challenging.

• You are part of the workshop team, you will design the warehouse together with your colleagues.
• You repair e-bikes independently with everything that goes with it (reception, inspection, fault finding, spare parts selection, repair, quality control)
• Together with your team, you prepare e-bikes for delivery to our customers and keep the existing fleet in good shape
• You work on constantly improving our service and our e-bikes
• You become an essential part of our team and bring in your ideas for optimizing the warehouse and its operations

• You have thorough expertise in electric bike mechanics. (1-2y for Bike Mechanic, 2y+ for Senior Bike Mechanic)
• You have a passion for excellence and enjoy working thoroughly and independently
• You enjoy trying out new repair processes and their continuous improvement
• You have decent knowledge of English and/or Spanish
