General Purpose of the JobThe WTI Field Resource Foreman (Foreman) oversees and performs the safety, efficiency, and quality of the WTI field service business. Safety is our primary priority and will be embedded into every discussion, meeting, and project. As the clear and established leader of the WTI crew, the Foreman is focused on safety, crew management, and efficient execution of all WTI projects assigned within their respective region.
It is the Foreman’s responsibility to deliver timely service to all WTI customers and manage exposure to risks.
- Conduct the daily onsite safety brief before the start of the WTI project with the Sales Rep, customer, and the WTI crew; inspect and ensure all surroundings, equipment, and tools are safe and complete the Daily Hazard Analysis form.
- Ensure all project communication is completed before the start of any WTI project, including daily communication with the WTI Field Resources Supervisor and weekly or as-needed communication with Sales Rep.
- Facilitate scope and schedule discussions with the WTI crew.
- Maintain professional appearance and customer interaction for all WTI Field Resources Reps.
- Manage crew start and end times, daily productivity, and ensure tools and materials are available for project completion.
- Complete end‑of‑day or end‑of‑project walk‑throughs using the company reporting tool to ensure workmanship quality and address punch list items.
- Order, track, and monitor inventory; conduct quarterly cycle counts and submit findings timely.
- Provide pricing for self‑performing projects over $12,500 and submit proposals over $20,000 for supervisor approval.
- Monitor and manage Field Reps, consult with Supervisor to resolve employee issues, and involve HR as needed.
- Coordinate project schedules and review time reports daily with the admin team.
- Attend all appropriate calls, meetings, and trainings.
- Perform any other duties and/or projects as required or assigned by the Supervisor or Regional Business Manager.
- Minimum of five years of experience in the roofing industry.
- Thorough familiarity with built‑up, EPDM, PVC, and other forms of low‑slope roofing systems, as well as metal and other steep‑slope roofing systems, and how to repair them properly.
- 30‑hour OSHA certification.
- Registered Roof Observer (RRO) preferred but not required.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to travel out of town, including overnight stays.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work weekends and/or holidays when needed.
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug test.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
