Truck Auto Mechanic

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Truck Auto Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of maintenance and repair tasks on our fleet of trucks.

• Keep detailed records of all purchases repairs and maintenance performed.
• Requisition parts, materials, and equipment as needed.
• Key duties include performing routine maintenance like oil changes, using diagnostic tools to find and fix problems, replacing faulty parts, and performing repairs according to safety standards.
• Keep tools, equipment, and the work area clean and organized.
• Conduct routine checks and preventative maintenance, such as changing oil, checking fluid levels, and lubricating components.
• Proven ability to diagnose, service and repair mechanical or technical problems effectively.

• Must speak & read English
• Must have good knowledge of automobiles & trucks
• Must have your own set of small tools
• Experience as a truck mechanic
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic components
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift/carry 50lbs plus
• 3-4 years experience as mechanic or maintenance helper
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must have valid drivers license
• Must have flexible work schedule (AM/PM/ON-Holidays Weekends)
• Must be able to acquire airport access.

This position has non-supervisory responsibilities.

This job operates in a workshop setting with some outdoor tasks. Exposure to noise from machinery and tools. May require working evenings or weekends.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, feel, talk, and hear. Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise.

The majority of duties are performed outside in all weather conditions.

Must be able to lift, push, and pull product, equipment, and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds, and must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet.

Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.

This is a full-time exempt position in a 24/7/365 work environment.

Days and hours of work vary based on operational needs and support.
