Eastern Environmental Solutions is looking for a hands‑on, motivated geothermal technician with plumbing experience to join our growing team. This is a field‑based position focused on servicing water wells and closed/open‑loop geothermal systems across Long Island and surrounding areas.
For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $30.00 - $35.00 per hour.
Compensation will be based on experience, license and other factors permitted by law.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with installation of geothermal heating and cooling systems
- Help run piping, set equipment, and perform trenching/back filling as needed
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and service geothermal loop systems (closed and open loop)
- Perform system flushing, flow testing, pump pull/install, and general maintenance
- Install and troubleshoot control boxes, pressure switches, and electrical components
- Document service reports and communicate findings to project managers and clients
- Operate service vehicles, pull trailers, and work with hand/power tools
- Fuse HDPE Pipe for geothermal systems
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety and environmental standards
- Support lead technicians on residential and commercial job sites
- Maintain tools, materials, and a clean work area
- Plumbing experience required (PEX, PVC, and copper experience a must)
- Mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills required
- Clean driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
- Pump installer license a plus, but not required
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn geothermal systems
- 30 Hour OSHA Certification
