Transdev in Cocoa, FL is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

- Competitive compensation package of minimum $22.00 – Maximum $26.00
Benefits include:
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

- Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches, etc.
- Ensure work orders are completed properly and maintain records of all work completed, including parts and supplies used.
- Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
- 3+ years of automotive or diesel repair employment experience or combination of education & experience.
- Process, or willing to obtain Commercial Driver’s License within the first year of employment is strongly preferred
- ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided
- Mechanic’s tool set
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
- The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions - 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
- Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access equipment stored at ground level
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise
