- Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Fire Alarm and Security Systems, including similar competitive manufacturers’ product lines, and occasionally perform system installations and service calls.
- Test and inspect fire alarm systems with existing and new customer base.
- Maintain proper documentation of work performed using provided tools.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, following verbal and written instructions.
- Carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Perform all tasks and duties safely and professionally, maintaining a clean work area.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
- NICET certification – or ability to obtain within 8 months of hire
- Minimum of 1 year of previous similar experience with installation or service experience in testing and inspecting Fire Alarm Equipment.
- Experience with hand tools and multi‑meter usage
- Able and willing to perform work in unusual and difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
- Able and willing to perform physical labor and lift up to 70 pounds.
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook) along with Smartphone skills
- Able and willing to work alternative shifts, including on‑call rotation, nights, and weekends.
- Self‑starter that can work with little or no supervision.
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent communication skills & ability to work well with others.
- Able and willing to travel out of town if needed.
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment background and drug test.
- Commitment to safety guidelines and procedures.
- 2‑3 years of previous similar experience.
- NICET I certification.
- NICET II certification.
- National, State, and Local licenses.
