As a Security Officer - Patrol Zone Coverage in New York, NY
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and support a welcoming experience for employees and visitors. What You ll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter routes, observing for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter incidents.
- Monitor access points and verify identification and/or authorization where required, directing visitors to proper areas in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordinating with site leadership, and contacting public emergency services when needed.
- Document patrol activity, observations, and incidents in daily reports and logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
