As a Security Officer - Unarmed Zone Rounds in New York, NY
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to requests, document observations, and deliver customer-focused communication.

Pay Rate: $19.30 / Hour

Mon – Fri, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

• Provide customer service to clients at a tech and media location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, studios, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing employees, contractors, and guests according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and/or requesting assistance as needed.
• Complete accurate shift reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or client contacts, and support security-related operations during special events or after-hours activity.

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
