As a Security Guard – Unarmed Route Patrol in Long Island City, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as residential. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help discourage security‑related incidents, document observations, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with residents, staff, and visitors while delivering helpful customer service.

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by following site‑specific procedures, access control expectations, and security‑related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; document observations and report concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or resident concerns in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
• Monitor entry points and community activity for unusual conditions that may deter unauthorized access, trespassing, and/or property damage; address issues within post guidelines.
• Complete detailed reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation; communicate status updates to supervisors and/or oncoming officers during shift transitions.

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Arrive at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
• X‑Ray screening experience is preferred.
