You will conduct routine patrols across assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. ** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within public transportation facilities.

+ Conduct armed, high-visibility patrols of station areas, platforms, entrances, corridors, and exterior perimeter areas to help to deter prohibited activity and/or identify hazards or suspicious conditions.

+ Monitor cameras, alarms, and communications systems; respond to calls for service, disturbances, and critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Control access to restricted areas, screen authorized personnel and/or contractors as directed, and coordinate response with site management and local law enforcement when needed.

+ Document patrol activity, incidents, and actions taken using required logs and reports; preserve observations and available evidence in accordance with post orders.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.

+ Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.

+ An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
