- Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and access control platforms across multiple facilities
- Identify suspicious activity, security breaches, or system anomalies in real time
- Conduct routine surveillance checks to ensure operational coverage
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents according to SOPs
- Dispatch security personnel or coordinate with local law enforcement when required
- Escalate incidents to leadership and key stakeholders based on severity
- Create, modify, and deactivate employee/contractor badges
- Manage facility access permissions and credential audits
- Monitor unauthorized access attempts and investigate discrepancies
- Maintain accurate incident logs and activity reports
- Prepare daily/shift security summaries for leadership
- Collect and export video footage or evidence for investigations
- Serve as the central communication hub between security teams, facilities, and leadership
- Provide real-time situational updates during incidents or emergencies
- Coordinate emergency response procedures and notifications
- Operate and troubleshoot security platforms (CCTV, alarm monitoring, access control)
- Ensure systems remain functional and report technical issues
- Assist with testing and validation of security systems and procedures
- Monitor regional or global events that could impact operations
- Support threat assessments and proactive risk identification
- Track trends in incidents to support security improvements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Emergency Management, or related field (preferred but not always required)
- 1–3+ years in security operations, GSOC/SOC, command center, or corporate security environments
- Experience monitoring CCTV, alarm systems, and access control platforms
- Prior incident response, dispatch, or emergency coordination experience preferred
- Supervisory or shift-lead experience (for senior operator roles)
- Familiarity with CCTV platforms (Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, etc.)
- Access control systems (Gallagher, Lenel, CCure, Honeywell)
- Alarm monitoring and incident management systems
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, reporting systems, databases)
- Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in high-stress or fast-paced environments
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for reporting and escalation
- Analytical thinking and decision-making under pressure
- Ability to follow SOPs and emergency response procedures precisely
- NY State Security Guard License
- CPR / First Aid / AED
- Ability to work overnight, weekend, or rotating shifts
