As a Security Guard – Media Studio Patrol in New York, NY
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming atmosphere. You will monitor activity, respond to reports, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors.

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and media location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation when appropriate and requesting additional support as needed.
• Monitor access points and public areas, help to deter unauthorized entry, and assist with visitor management and/or basic credential checks as directed by post orders.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and support security-related investigations when requested.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
