As a Security Officer - Cultural Patrol Team in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a renowned cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, maintaining a welcoming environment for guests and staff. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication.

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the overall security-related needs of the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to manage crowd flow during events and peak times.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or emergency responders to relay important information and provide assistance as needed.
• Remain alert and attentive to the surroundings at all times, reporting any suspicious activity or security-related hazards promptly.

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
