You will support daily operations by documenting activity, responding to concerns, and communicating clearly with team members and site leadership.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking lots, trailer yards, and perimeter fencing to help identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points such as gates, guard shacks, and employee entrances by verifying identification, directing traffic flow, and maintaining authorized entry and exit.
  • Complete routine patrol checks of dock doors, exterior doors, and restricted areas, and report maintenance or security‑related concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including supporting medical response, fire response, severe weather actions, and facility evacuations as directed by post orders.
  • Observe and report suspicious behavior, unsecured doors, loitering, and policy violations, and coordinate with site leadership and/or local law enforcement when requested.
  • Perform vehicle and trailer checks as assigned, including documenting seal numbers and noting visible irregularities, following site procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Use CCTV, alarm panels, radios, and/or access control systems to support patrol operations, dispatch response, and document activity according to site policy.
  • Prepare clear, detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, including maintaining logs for patrol routes, access activity, and key events.
  • Support loss prevention and chain of custody processes by reporting damaged property, open containers, unattended packages, and other irregularities to site management for follow‑up.
  • Assist with customer and driver interactions by providing directions to docks, staging lanes, and check‑in locations while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Participate in briefings, training, and post‑order updates to stay aligned with changing operational needs across a logistics and distribution location.
Minimum Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
