As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will complete routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with clear, professional communication.

Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $18.02 / Hour
Job Schedule- Day and Time correspond to shifts; example:
Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM, Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM.

- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the location, including corridors, waiting areas, entrances, stairwells, and exterior perimeter areas as assigned.
- Monitor access points and help maintain orderly entry by verifying credentials, directing visitors to appropriate check-in areas, and following visitor management procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and requests for assistance from staff.
- Observe and report conditions that may impact operations, such as blocked exits, unsecured doors, unattended items, and/or unauthorized persons in restricted areas.
- Support a professional environment by using de-escalation techniques and clear communication to help resolve conflicts and/or disruptive behavior.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems as assigned, such as alarms, cameras, and communications equipment, and notify appropriate personnel of issues.
- Complete detailed, timely reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or policy violations in accordance with site requirements.
- Coordinate with on-site leadership and local first responders during emergencies, including evacuations, medical events, and/or fire alarm activations, as directed by post orders.
- Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence, performing patrols, and following established procedures for addressing concerns.
- Protect privacy and confidentiality by following applicable policies when handling sensitive information encountered during assigned duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Allied Universal and site leadership in accordance with post orders.
- 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs (preferred).
- Access control and/or badge experience (preferred).
- For unarmed roles: at least 18 years of age; for armed roles: 21+ years.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Background investigation required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws;

- Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
