Security Officer – Professional Academic Environment

Pay Rate: $18.02/hour

We are seeking professional, dependable Security Officers to support a high-profile academic and professional environment in Manhattan. This role requires individuals who present themselves with strong professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a structured setting with established standards and procedures.

• Shifts vary and may include:

  • 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM

  • 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM

• Must be flexible with scheduling

• Weekend availability is required

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence

• Staff standing posts for the duration of assigned shifts

• Monitor access points and conduct routine patrols

• Observe, report, and respond to incidents or safety concerns

• Enforce site policies and procedures in a professional manner

• Provide courteous assistance to students, staff, and visitors

• Complete accurate incident and activity reports

• Minimum 6 months of prior security training or experience

• Ability and willingness to work a standing post

• Reliable transportation is required

• Must be willing to obtain CPR/AED certification upon hire

• Must be willing to obtain F-01 or F-03 certification upon hire

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Professional appearance and demeanor required at all times
