Waldorf Astoria New York is seeking a Security Officer to unveil a new era of luxury which embodies the spirit of New York City. The property boasts 375 rooms, 375 Private Residences, 40,000 square feet of event space, holistic spa and wellness programming, and a celebrity chef partnership.
ObjectivesAs a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of guests and team members, while contributing to a secure and peaceful environment throughout the hotel property.
Responsibilities- Patrol the interior and exterior of the hotel property,ึก observing and identifying potential safety and security risks, as well as any undesirable conditions.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations— including safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies, and threats to life or property—ensuring a calm and efficient resolution.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices for both team members and guests to maintain a secure environment.
- Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents, ensuring all details are gathered accurately.
- Write detailed reports and ensure the accuracy of documentation, maintaining thorough records.
- Address and resolve guest inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely Concord with friendly, professional manner, always engaging guests with refinement and genuine interest.
- Anticipate and address guest security needs discreetly and proactively, ensuring a seamless experience.
The rate of pay for this role is $30.3017- $40.4023 Per Hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience.
Qualifications- Valid FLSD – COF – T89 License is required.
- OSHA General Industry Authorized Trainer certification preferred.
- CLSD (Certified Loss Prevention Specialist) certification preferred.
- CPP (Certified Protection Professional) certification preferred.
- A keen eye for detail with the ability to identify potential security risks and safety hazards quickly and accurately.
- A proactive, vigilant approach to maintaining a secure environment while still delivering friendly and professional guest service.
- Ability to handle high‑pressure situations calmly and efficiently, ensuring a safe outcome.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with both guests and team members in a courteous and professional manner.
- A refined demeanor with the ability to engage guests in a genuine, approachable, and calm manner, ensuring they feel secure and valued.
