Overview
The Security Programs Associate is tasked with assisting with the design and implementation of the Physical Security program. The role is also responsible for designing and implementing systems monitoring and maintenance strategies. The position reports to the Associate Director of Corporate Security.
Responsibilities- Provide design and project management for projects assigned.
- Design and develop maintenance strategies for all physical security systems.
- Improve monitoring strategies.
- Create and implement system upgrade strategies.
- Manage and coordinate Software Support Agreements.
- Manage and coordinate recurring services.
- Design and implement of global alarm monitoring program.
- Commercial Properties
- Residential Properties
- Aid with design and implementation of global security policy and procedures.
- Keep up with latest developments in the Security Technology Field.
- Provide investigative support (CCTV review, transaction reviews) for sensitive/confidential internal investigations as directed.
- Monitor security incidents. Ensure proper escalation, documentation and implement corrective actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or Physical Security Systems.
- 5–7 years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility in the physical security technology field.
- Experience with the design and development of the following systems:
- Software House C‑Cure
- Genetec Security Center
- Knowledge of access control systems, including:
- Access control head‑end hardware
- Field hardware
- Applicable life safety codes
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, including:
- Appropriate use of various camera types
- System implementation and configuration
- Strong understanding of the design and development of physical security systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey physical security concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage projects across multiple stakeholders and timelines.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
