As a Security Officer - Mall Foot Patrol Unarmed in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Your presence and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for guests, staff, and visitors.

You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and communicate clearly, all while reflecting our values of teamwork, innovation, and integrity in every interaction.

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents as per Allied Universal guidelines.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site protocols.
• Collaborate with store management and staff to support a secure environment for customers and employees.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities, observations, and incidents.
• Provide a visible presence to help deter potential disturbances and to support a welcoming atmosphere for patrons.

• A guard card or license is preferred.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
