• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Proof of high‑school diploma or GED.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Completion of required training and registration under the Security Guard Act; valid NYSDOS photo .
• Valid New York State photo driver’s license.
• Valid Fire Guard (F‑00/F‑01/F‑32/F‑36/F‑91) certification from the NYC Fire Department.
• Ability to stand or walk for a consecutive eight‑hour shift.
• Ability to climb stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry objects similar to a 25‑lb fire extinguisher.
• Ability to assist persons requiring aid or assistance.
• Adequate eyesight for visual s.
• Proficient typing and computer skills.
• Valid TSA Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
• OSHA certification and completion of the 10‑hour General Industry Safety and Health course.
• One or more of the following:
  • Two years of prior military experience on active duty with honorable discharge (DD214).
  • Two years’ experience in the National Guard or Military Reserves.
  • Two years of full‑time experience as an NYSDOS registered New York State security guard.
  • Two years full‑time experience as a Police Officer, Probation Officer, Corrections Officer, or Security Officer.

• Jobs operate at client sites which may be indoor or outdoor.
• Requires prolonged standing and walking for daily security activities.
• Open availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Shifts vary, including holidays as assigned.
