As a Security Guard – Shelter Full-Time Patrols in BROOKLYN, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned shelter locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, addressing concerns as they arise, and providing exceptional customer service to residents and staff.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols within the shelter and around its perimeter to deter unauthorized activities and/or behaviors.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security‑related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support a welcoming environment for shelter residents, staff, and visitors while maintaining security‑related protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
• Document all incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
